Laura is a museum professional in the D.C., Maryland, Virginia metropolitan area. A Utah native, Laura holds degrees in history and art history from the University of Utah. Her professional career began at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts working alongside the Museum Preparator. After relocating to Northern Virginia, Laura worked for the Manassas Museum, Lee-Fendall House Museum, and Arlington National Cemetery. Laura is currently the Program & Collections Assistant at Woodlawn & Pope-Leighey House in Alexandria. 

Beyond her professional roles, Laura is committed to her local community. She serves as the Vice Chair of the Manassas Historic Resources Board and is a member of the Collections Committee for the Manassas Museum. She has also spent the last two years volunteering her time at Alexandria's History Museum at the Lyceum, working alongside the Curator. 

In her free time, Laura enjoys visiting museums and historic sites, reading, kayaking, and hiking with her husband and dog
